6mm Hemp Rope: Coils vs Spools
6mm is our most popular size, and it comes three ways:
- 50 yard coil: the best price per foot for a single coil, natural color, 3-strand.
- 25 meter coil: a smaller coil that also comes in black.
- Romanian spool: sold by weight, about 47 meters per 1 kilo spool or 23.5 meters per half kilo. Good when you want rope wound on a spool for steady pulling during production.
Hemp Rope vs Manila Rope
“Manila hemp rope” is a common search, but manila contains no hemp. It is made from abaca, a relative of the banana plant. Here is how the two compare:

Twisted, Braided, and Where It Is Made
- Twisted 3-strand rope is the classic look and splices easily. Most of our coils are 3-strand.
- Twisted 4-strand rope is rounder and fuller. Our 30mm rope is 4-strand.

- Two production lines. Our standard coils are made in China, and our Romanian hemp rope is made in Europe and comes in longer coils and spools. Both are 100% hemp.
