Although these three hemp protein powder recipes are simple, they are so nutritious and delicious! The one thing that is unique about these three recipes from others that you will find online, is that they are using our Hulled Hemp Heart Protein Powder.
What’s the difference between hemp protein powder and hemp heart protein powder you ask?
Hemp heart protein powder is smoother, creamier, and tastier than typical hemp protein powder, because the shell has been removed before processing the seeds.
Typically hemp protein powder is made from whole hemp seeds, which can make it more bitter, have more grit and more chlorophyll, which is what gives it a more grassy or bitter aftertaste.
Don’t get me wrong, hemp protein powder is awesome, but if you’re wanting to uplevel your game and get into a more gourmet experience, you have got to try the hulled hemp heart protein powder!
If you’re wanting to get a child, or someone who doesn’t typically like the taste of hemp protein powder to get the nutritional benefits hemp heart protein powder is going to be your best bet, as it’s more neutral in taste.
So with let’s get right into it. Here are three easy to make recipes to help infuse more hemp nutrition into your and your family’s lifestyle.
Green Power Hemp Protein Smoothie Recipe
- Coconut Milk (or coconut water)
- 1 small or 1/4 of a large avocado
- 4 tbs hulled heart protein powder
- 1 bunch cilantro
- Top with hemp hearts
- 1 tsp spirulina (optional)
- 1 handful of your favorite berries either frozen or fresh (blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, or whichever you prefer, or all of the above.)
Fill blender with just enough coconut milk (or coconut water) to cover the blades of the blender, so that the mixture blends into the consistency you like.
We prefer using a high powered blender such a VitaMix or BlendTec blender to really get it smooth and creamy, but whatever you have access to will work.
Raw Alkaline Hemp Protein Soup Recipe
- 1 -2 Large heirloom tomato or 1 basket of cherry tomatoes
- 1/2 a reed avocado or 1 whole Haas avocado
- 1/4 cup basil chopped
- 1/4 of a red onion
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbs chickpea miso paste
- 3 tbs hulled heart protein powder
- 3 tbs organic almonds
Blend all the ingredients (except the almonds) well.
Then add a small amount of water to make the soup catch and start blending.
Your goal is to make it smooth, creamy and rich.
At the end of blending, then you can pulse in the almonds so that they mix throughout the soup and give it a really nice crunch.
If you don’t like almonds (and your crazy) you can sub out another crunchy nut or seed of your choice, such as walnuts, cashews, pecans, or pumpkin seeds if you’d like.
